Another issue is water quality/matching. Finding out what the water parameters the fish previously were held in and how long. Wild caught or farmed. Quickly and safely getting the water to YOUR optimum final water will strengthen the fish considerably. Just getting the temp closer to their maximum h...

The inlet side of the water is just a drip emitter (from drip irrigation) connected to a tap. I installed a pressure reducing valve on the tap to stop the emitter bieng 'blown' off. These emitters are available here at 2l/h, 4l/h and 8l/h. Variable drip emitters are also available. Cheers Brian So,...

Welcome. Great setup. Love the Geo's.

The drip system is so simple. It's perfect for a water change procrastinator like me.

To me she is the "Frank Zappa" of punk. I was watching a video of her and my seventeen year old says, "Who's that?" He too was mesmerized.

One more.

I assume you live in snow country? I do and I also notice that when it's real cold outside and I let the house get cold that the right size heater can not keep up. They have a maximum output and more heat is being lost through the glass/acrylic than can be replaced by the heater. Two options, keep t...

Batteries are great for short outages. Longer ones require a generator. I've had one for 2 1/2 years and used it last winter. The power was out for almost a day. Longer and batteries would not have worked. A few days and the biological system would be in jeopardy. Here it gets much colder than Flori...

Tattooing of fish actually started a few years ago and the first fish to have it done to them were arrowana, if I remember right it started in Singapore and people were getting their favourite brand logo added to the fish almost as a fashion accessory  As pricey as Asian Arowanas are I'm surp...

They even move the silk type of plants around in my tank. I see them swimming around holding the plants quite often.

A side question. What is the PH? The fronts and loaches are at opposite ends. I'm assuming it's low and the fronts have adjusted? I keep both, in separate tanks.
