Thanks Jim. I have had them 9 days now and they already seem to have put on a little weight so it seems to be going well. The kubotai are out and about quite a bit. The sids are out a lot, but disappear when they see me enter the room so I have not been able to watch them as much. The single dario t...

I would be interested if I was closer. Good luck finding a good home for them. This is the right place to look.

Thanks Loachmom and ChefKeith. They seem to be doing well. No losses yet and their appetite has improved. They really go for the bloodworms. I like the way that they move. The sids are very fast and can shoot from one place to another in a flash. The kubotai are also fast, but with less acceleration...

Kubs and Sids

I finally have Botia Kubotai and Botia Sidthimunki. The pictures of the kubotai are blurry, but my camera does not allow manual focus so I take 50 or so pictures to get one that is partially in focus. http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s14/k8472w/kubs.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s14/k8472...

ChefKeith- Thanks for trying the flow demo without the curved corners. I was interested since I have a strong circular flow in my tank but do not have the curved corners. Also, thanks for the material thickness calculator. Nicely done. It has given me some much better information than I had previous...

That is going to be one very, very nice river tank. Well done. The video of the current in your tank is great. How many and which power heads are pushing the current? Did you do the current demonstration before you put in the quarter buckets in the corners? I am just wondering how necessary they are...

I like option 1 with the two powerheads in positions B and C at the front of the tank. In that position, if aimed a bit towards the front of the tank as in your 3rd diagram, you should get some good horizontal circular flow. Or reverse it and put them in the back with them aimed toward the back. But...

Gorgeous tank!

I sure wish I could come and meet all of you on the 11th. Emma, why don't you open a shop over here? I am sure that your business would thrive here.

Martin- Would the backflow problem also be solved (rather than limiting the water height) by having a stack of 3 or 4 pumps up the entire column of water height? And also have the output and input on each end of the false wall the same size.
