Re: Foam bubbles on top of aquarium
Yes they are definitely dissipating so it is tempting to just carry on and ignore them, just don't want to harm the fish.

Re: Oldest and Biggest Clown Loach 24 years old and 11.5 inches total length
There was/is a member of this forum I believe called Emma Turner? She had a huge Clown fish which I think she called Madge, I think Madge was over a foot long but I could be wrong.

Re: Powerheads
Well after a LOT of reading and a lot of thinking I finally decided on on the Reef Surge 4000 Wavemaker. couldn't wait for it to come and try it in my tank. But the output was too diffused, SOOOO annoying. I hate it when I buy something that proves to be a waste of money and you still have the probl...

Re: Foam bubbles on top of aquarium
The only things I have added new are plants glued to driftwood and some slate, a large slate cave and some pieces of slate silliconed together,
I have added some carbon to the filter, don't know if it will help but feeling disheartened at the thought of stripping it all down.

Re: Foam bubbles on top of aquarium
Yesterday I did about 25% water change which reduced the bubbles a lot, I noticed that the inside glass felt slimey. I have just tested for ammonia and there is none.

Re: Foam bubbles on top of aquarium
I've never done a fishless cyle so am not familiar with the procedure, I usually start with a portion of mature media from another tank and slowly build from that, this time I was going to give that "ATM Colony" a try.

Foam bubbles on top of aquarium
My weather loach tank is almost finished, have strong surface water agitation and also large external filter outlet. I now seem to have foamy bubbles forming on the surface round the edge. Is this a problem or just the agitation of the water. There are no fish in it at the moment.

Thanks for all your suggestions, I don't like black much, I like the gradient blue but you can't get it 4' wide.

Backdrops for aquariums
Wasn't sure where to post this, so hope it's OK here. What to you guys use to cover the back of the aquarium? I started off with plain white card, got tired of that and went with blue, got fed up with the blue as I couldn't get the shade I had in mind so now I'm back to white again, has anyone got a...
