My lot were very bold, active and unafraid when I had them in a tank with various Botia sp. but now that I've moved them to a much more peaceful tank and a few more of their own, they've gone completely skittish and hide all the time! Cannot figure it out.

We have two of these in the hillstream tank which we moved to the museum recently. They seem to be doing well and are very lovely fish.

Oh, sorry. I hadn't seen this yet. Very nice! Careful mixing those two hillstream species. Sewellia are a bit more feisty than the Gastros.

The other golden rule is they need worms in their diet ,frozen blood worm is fine , but if you can provide some chopped earthworm , you will really see them in optimum condition ! Probably because bloodworms aren't worms at all, they're chironomid midge larvae! Is there much information on their di...

Pretty quiet around here. I've never had a hospital tank before but can make a few guesses at what I've seen people mention before. The size depends on the fish but I wouldn't go any smaller than ~60 litres just because it starts to get difficult to keep the water parameters stable. I'd go with all ...

How does that happen? Is something that can spread or does it happen to each fish individually? Have had no further incidents.

If you possibly can, it's worth taking out the internal filter and getting an external. My 180 looked much bigger and nicer when I did that.

Is this...dropsy?!

Came home one night to find a female cherry barb all bloated and spikey-looking. I was off for six days the following morning and she looked like a goner anyway so I got the clove oil out. Did a big water change and had to leave the tank and hope. Got back last night and everyone is perfectly fine, ...
