didnt know about vaseline due to its a petroleum jelly but dead handy to know, the reason we used bonjela was its apparently an antiseptic

something i have founf the hard way is when you get the sand wash it in a bucket first by half filling a bucket with water the sprinkle the sand through it this will remove any eccess dust and such (tank looks kinda cloudy otherwise lol)

something i have seen a friend do when feeding is this: he too have small pebbles for substrate and when feeding pellets and such he has a tray laid in the tank (which remains always) he has a lenght of pvc tube which is puts in the water and touches the based to the tray then loads his pellet into ...

i think everyone on LOL would agree go with a good quality sand mine love it and its so mych nicer on there little barbels which are quite delicate

sommit that may help but im not sure with the loach but when i used to do alot of fresh water fishing we used to medicate the fish after being caught ie where the hook was and any blisters and such that the fish had, we used to treat with some medication and then i was told to use bonjela as in the ...

i would firstly identify where he got the splinter from and remove that source then look at removing/treating the loach

the way i see it is i wouldnt kill and dispose of a deformed kid so i wont be doin it with my loaches thats for sure, infact i picked these 3 as they all have something unusual about them once they get in my 450litre loach tank they will be fantastic i think

yup i could only see these three that didnt look like any other clown so i had the guy catch specific ones for me and he done it so well didnt waste no time straight in and had all 3 bagged within 3 mins and didnt chase at all, the guy is fantastic when it comes to loaches.

hiya guys went to LFS today and saw this little guy marked as a khuli, but dont look like a khuli to me he is a pale colour with 1 black stripe right up the lenght of him pic is a little crappy cuase he is tiny and i have alot of trouble gettin focussed on him http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k237/...

i float my frozen bloodworm in a small net in the top of the tank to thor it before i release it to the tank, i have found by doing so all the loaches tend to come out and all have a good chance of a feed at the same time
