Re: Stream(ish) project

Hi, Dave.

It's the next to useless imagebank the earlier photos of this thread are stocked in. I'ts been down for awhile now.
The owners have said it will be up "soon", but soon has gone tenfold already...

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: my new moray eel

Please do take a third and fourth opinion on the matter, my notes are just another angle. Do a search with the scientific name of the fish, Gymnothorax tile . Add "care" and you will find quite a lot of info. A short but informative caresheet: http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/gymnothorax-tile/ T...

Re: my new moray eel

Hi, Joe. The first thing you will find out by doing a search on it's name, Gymnothorax tile , is that even though it's sometimes sold under the name "freshwater moray eel", it certainly is not freshwater. It needs brackish to full marine conditions to thrive. If they are kept in fresh water, they of...

Re: Mudskipper paludarium- an alternative solution

hi, sorry i have not ventured on the site in so long, after loosing my clowns , it became more and more difficult.. it was pretty tough to watch them pass ( bad meds-my fault) and lost the heart to replace them. I actually don't/can't fit a tank large enough for 5 adults anyway,so it seemed a moot ...

Re: Mudskipper paludarium- an alternative solution

I'm too happy with the plant growth in the tank. Have to do something about it. Even though the Valoya led fixture seems to do the trick, I'm a bit dissatisfied with the color. I'll try metal halides for a change. I've got two of these 70W HQI shop fixtures laying around: https://lh3.googleuserconte...

A short story of how sometimes you don't want to trash plants that look bad. Here are my Samolus valeradi s when I bought them: https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-rPSFc693X5s/TE2gaddhccI/AAAAAAAAAD8/60nC-6z-gis/s640/DSC08045.JPG Here's what they looked like a few weeks after planting: https://lh3.go...
