Yes, there are nice job opportunities right here if I wanted to stay in Newfoundland- one that strikes me fancy is the fact that such a small group of marine biologists are trying very hard to try and breed the Atlantic Cod- who is now on the endangered list. -_- Which I knew was going to happen ANY...

My interests & hobbies are also VERY diverse- but I do believe that essentially, this is what I'd like to end up doing. And as for the drawings, I was trying to do some scans earlier :( My scanner is being very rude lately  I think it's about time for a new printer/scanner/copier myself!...

Loaches can make the difference! O_O

Since deciding to take on the responsibilty of caring for loaches & other fish, especially clowns, it has made me realize how immensely I enjoy doing so. :D I've actually decided I'd like to pursue going to school to become a professional aquarist. I've been seeing a lot of support from all angles- ...

I currently have two clowns in a 20 gallon O_O Though this wasn't by my own errors- they were definitely cute little gifts! I'm waiting for a new group of clowns to come in, to add to their little family. My LFS refuses to sell clowns until they've been there for at least a month- so if any clowns w...

Watermelon, eh? That just so happens to be MY favorite fruit- I have it in the house at all times, usually 4 packs  I can get through a couple of them in a day. But I'd be more than happy to share with my loaches! Gorgeous pictures as usual, Emma. I love them all lined up as if they're ...

Good thing that's all you have to do, huh?
I see this post has tumbled into chaos, like many before it.
Who's going to work on the LOL curtains?
I bet nobody here could guess my age, if I haven't already revealed it.

That's the trouble, shipping to Newfoundland is so expensive.
I have no idea where I'd ever find a 70g tank for 34 DOLLARS... I've never heard tell of it!
The shipping costs to bring anything to this province is ridiculous!

Do you have a rainbow or a red tail? Whenever I say rainbow or red fin everyone thinks I mean that he's a RTBS. Tanooki (my shark) is a rainbow shark, he's been very kind to my loaches. At first he was weary, and chased them a bit around feeding time because they always got there first- but he was o...

Even MORE great news!

Sir Loin has healed up nicely, thanks to water changes and pima/melafix- as has Tanooki's barbels, with the same treatment in his tank ^_^ Both have returned to great health. And if you all remember scrawny Lewellyn, he's recently started packing on pounds. :P His gluttony is starting to show- he gr...

It comes with aqua clear heater/filter, thermostat, Aquaplus and waste control, one flourescent and one blue light, a couple marina plants, a guide, food, net, and other stuff I'm positive I'm forgetting. -_- It was quite the list. Definitely the best price I've seen for all this ANYWHERE. A decent ...

Great news!

As it turns out, I'm able to upgrade much sooner than later! In about a month or so, I'll be able to upgrade from the 20 gallon to a 70 gallon tank. :D The manager at the local lfs store knows me well, and has given me a very good price to sell me a 70 with all the fixings included. It's very, VERY ...

Yeah, I've heard this rumor as well, quite often. :? Apparently, as the story goes, weather loaches come from an environment where burrowing in the mud is a specialty of theirs- they don't need to rely on their sight so much, due to their speedy burrowing/camoflage abilities. Something like that, an...

I feed my clowns a variety of things: Tubifex worms, blood worms, sinking wafers, cucumber (mine are not very partial to cucumber), a vitamin enriched sinking pellet, fresh shrimp, and brine shrimp.
Their favorites are of course bloodworms, and the sinking wafers.
