Re: My new 240 gallon aquarium

Thank you, Nancy. It has taken me a while to get it, but the wait was worth it. Best thing I like is not more water changes. LOL

Re: New loach tank

Welcome to the forum, SnArL. Try some of the barbs. I have 15 Odessa barbs in my new tank and they get along real well with all my loaches. Some barbs are not a mean as others; like Tiger Barbs. Give them a try.

Re: Frozen prawns

Welcome to the forum, Click. Lot of nice people here.

I have not seen any prawns at stores here in Waco, but I do like to get the cocktail shrimp and my loaches love them.

Re: Need transfer tips

How are you going to catch them? A net may damage them. I used a 5 gallon bucket. Put it in their current tank and lay it on its side at one end of the tank. Then using a large net, move them into the bucket. Pour a little of the water out and then pour them into the new tank. Worked for me.

Re: My new 240 gallon aquarium

Thanks, guys, for your comments. Have been wanting this tank for several years. I kept fish back in the 60s and 70s and have been keeping them for five years now. Love my loaches. Jim, that is the 125 you hear in the video. I had lowered the water to catch the last fish from it and had not drained i...

IMO, I would rather have many small to medium rocks than just one big one. More area for algae to gown also.

Re: water temperature

Thank you Arden and Loachloch for your posts. The reason I am asking this question is because two different people have told me that they keep their tanks with clown loaches at 87 degrees because of what they read on Loaches.com and saying at that temp. they will never have ick. I tried to tell them...

water temperature

What do most of you have your water temperature in your tanks for loaches. Should it temperature be set for the fish that requires the highest setting? Loaches.com suggest 78ºF to 87ºF (25-30°C) for clown loaches and 76ºF to 82ºF(22-27.7°C) for yoyos. Does anyone have theirs at 86ºF or 87ºF? Thank y...
