Levasole dosage calculaton
I've got a kubotai that I recently noticed was razor thin. CWS seems the most likely cause. Since I recently did a treatment of antibiotics on this tank it seems the next step is Levasole. Please comment on my thought process here. 18.15G of levamisole hydrochloride in a 500ml bottle comes out to 36...

How UV sensitive is silicone? If the plastic rims have deteriated I'd be worried about the silicone. It might be easier to junk the tank and just get a new one. Otherwise to be safe and sure I'd think you'd need to strip the tank down to the bare glass panels, get a new pair of plastic rims that fit...

what about using malasian trumpet snales since they are substrate shifters would they help or would the dojos just eat them as quickly as i put them in? I knew there was some kind of snail that was good at stirring up the sand, but wasn't sure what the name was. Aren't MTSs pretty big? Not only do ...

> . . . snip .. . . ...something i am learning about right now is anaerobic gaseous pockets of air that get trapped in the sand. the sand should be 'stirred' every once in awhile to prevent these pockets from building up because they can be lethal to your fish (and lethal to your nose  ) when ...

can't count fish! always moving/hiding.
I put 5 kubs in the 60G tank two months ago. I've never seen all 5 at the same time, only 4. I've been assuming that somehow I'd lost one. NOT SO!! I finally saw all 5 last night!! YAA!! :) darn fish can be hard to count! Just like the skunks I have in the 30G. I never see all 4. So I remove all the...

Fin grow back speed?
I have a 4 or 5 inch clown loach I've had in my Qtank for a while. I noticed it acting funny a few weeks ago. Upon closer examination I saw that a couple of its fins were partially gone and that its suborbital spines were perminatly extended. I immediatly moved it to the Qtank and did the proscribed...

You need to feed them more than just Algae Wafers. I use 3 or 4 different kinds of feed in my tanks, flake, shrimp pellets, algae wafers, etc. They need variety. If you see extra food laying around on the bottom after 15 minutes then you've overfed them. A general rule is as much food as the size of...

Loaches are river fish so they like a lot of movement of water in the tank. Loaches require excellent water conditions, 0 ammonia and nitrite These two requirements mean you need to over filter the tank with more turns of the tank than normal and LOTS of filter surface for the bio filter. You can’t ...
