Re: Can gold and pangio kuhli interbreed ?

sometimes the golden form of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus called "golden kuhli loach". If so, they don't interbreed.
Are you sure your "golden Pangio" are really member of the genus Pangio? A pic would be nice :)

Re: Tank bred weather loach

You can try to feed them with artemia nauplii. I've raised some Cobitis fry last year with it.

Re: Loaches from China

Hi,

Chinensis is neither a valid species nor a synonym in the genus Cobitis. The main thing is they are very nice!

The second one has two dorsal fins, so it isn't a loach. It's a goby, but I've no idea about the genus.

Re: ID for "weather loach"

Hi,

The skinny loach seems to be a Misgurnus, too.

The third loach is a nice patterned Lepidocephalichthys guntea

Re: Cobitis sp.

I've forgotten two short videos. The first is from may, 28th (four days after I've find the fry). The larvas have a fin seam as you can see in the first pics. The larvas have a fin seam as you can see in the first pics. The pectoral fins are vertical. This makes the larvas looks a bit like bullhead ...

Re: Cobitis sp.

Hi, I dig out this thread for some news: The Cobitis seems to be an undescribed species from taiwan and they habe spawned a few weeks ago in my tank. On May, 24th I've spotted some 5-6mm larvas. I've catched 13 out of the tank to raise them. I've fed with artemia nauplii they grow quickly and after ...

yes, I have kept 4 of them in a tank together with Barbatula and Cobitis. They was very friendly to the other loaches. My were lesser aggressive than other hillstreams e.g. Pseudogastromyzon
