Free Publicity for LFS - PFK Style

I know we have a few LFS Keepers who post here and I thought this might be of interest :

Also might be a nice way of promoting unusual Loaches :)

Twitching fins...

I've had a feather fin Syno for a while now - He's been slightly lethargic these past few days and swimming at the surface. Oxygen seems to be fine. The main symptom seems to be shaking/twitching of his fins (mainly the pectoral fins) it doesn’t seem to effect his swimming - but its as if he has tre...

I used to dangle a pieces of thread into the water for my Dojo to swim around - for food treats... after a few weeks I could stick the thread into the water in any part of the tank and he would swim upto it and swim around. I can't think of any other "toys" at the moment.

I was only interested in the live stock. Although Dorset is 4 hrs away so I'll have to give it a miss. Good Luck in rehoming them.

I've started treating for Ich - using half strength medicine and Temp upto 30. I have also added another air stone so the oxygen should be fine. In Hindsight I should have treated straight away – would have saved me from pulling 7 corpses out over the last 2 days. I just thought they were underfed, ...

Thank you all for your help! I've got a UV filter I can start running on the Q tank - would that alone get rid of the Ich or would I still need meds? The tank is cycled and stable so I don't think the UV would upset the balance. If I need meds I'll grab some tomorrow, but if I can just use the UV I'...

Ich and Skinny... the choices....

Good afternoon all, I have a batch of 20 little (1.5-2inch) clowns that have been in my care for 2 weeks. They are in the Q tank and despite my best efforts (Blood Worms, Melon, Meat, Flake and Cucumber) they are still skinny... They eat and then don't put the weight on. Now they have started showin...

All my fish nibble at strawberries and raspberries - although the BN's and the rainbows seem to really Love them. I'd say Melon and Potatoe is more my loaches choice :)

Thank you chefkeith, these are all points pet shops tend to fail to tell new clown loach owners. Is there anyway we can have this as a sticky? Or add it into an existing sticky?

Good afternoon Jeff,

It is good to see you here again :D

I see what you mean and thank you for your response.

Overall Loaches.com is priceless for information, facts and friendliness. Any changes would be great, but not essential.

PS - I also like the idea of little thumb nail pictures. Also on http://www.loaches.com/species-index there are thumb nail pictures of quite common loaches - is there any way to link these to the specific species profile? As then if a user sees the loach they want to ID on the 1st page then they can...

I really like the idea of the country classifications - it will clarify which loaches would portentially be living together in the wild and thus share hibitat and water quality. I'm not too sure about LC numbers, Just purely because there is such a range of loaches - some of which are un-identified ...
