Re: clownloach

Sounds to me like a possible infection/ dropsy going on. Usually once they are swollen up it is very hard to save them but not impossible. I would look into treating her. I can't wait till my clown babies are huge like that. We've only been together a couple years but they are a huge part of the fam...

Re: Advise with My Imperial loaches.

Bloodworms and cyclopeeze are going to be your best bet in getting them to eat.

One of many reasons I support the big fish campaign. You were good to rescue him.

Re: Rehome Giant Gourami

Man I wish you were near me. We're setting up an above ground pool and turning it into a tank and I have wanted an osphronemus for so long. But never had the room. He would love it in this new tank.

Re: Loaches and eels

It's true... Like many other combinations. It can work just fine for a long time for one person but go horribly wrong for the next. It's all based on weather or not you want to put the eel into a situation that could possibly cause a needless death. Be it now or five years from now. That's all I'm s...

Re: Need help with rescued loach. Is he aggressive? What spe

I spent hours searching the index and google and anyplace I could find. And no luck. I've asked my LFS workers to see if they know. And I have squat. So anyone who may have an idea please let me know. But my worry about aggression was put to rest. He is nothing but a huge sweetheart. He is schooling...

Re: Advise with My Imperial loaches.

I hope you have a much larger tank. You realize that leptobotia elongata can reach an astounding 30 inches long and should be kept in a school of no less than three. Not to be harsh but due to your query I'm left to assume you did no research before you purchased these exquisite loaches and look at ...

The tinwini and thekuboti will look amazing together. A nice pair of discrossus filimentosa (sp?) checkerboard chichlid would go great with those guys as well. Hope to see some pics!

Re: Reticulated Loach Egg Bound

I had a large yoyo female who became bound and I was sure she was done for. I gave her warm Epsom salt baths a couple times a day and she actually improved. She was back to normal after about three days. Hope she pulls thru!

Re: Loaches and eels

Spiny eels in general are all very prone to horrible bacterial and fungal infection from getting wounds. Even the wrong kind of substrate can hurt them and leave them open to infection. Your best bet is to have it in a tank without any mates with barbs spikes spines ect.. And be sure you have a very...
