Thanks Shari, just jolted myself last week during DIY so I'm a little shy. (note to self: ALWAYS turn off ALL power, never assume about wiring)

Marge's next home?

Just saw this & think it'd be perfect for Marge & crew http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/sh ... hp?t=82281
They're having striatas & Pink Floyd but we know it's clowns & A-HA for Emma.
Extreme tank envy!

Have you checked out ahsupply Mike? They're recommended on several plant forums for compact fluorescent retro fit kits if you do DIY, good reflectors & less $$ that fit into most strip housing. I'm trying to be brave enough to do it, they say it's easy.

It's good to know dead BBA turns red, I thought I may have had something else for a while. I've read Excel also kills vallisneria. I think I got bba from ferts close to the recommended amt, I'm usually stingy with it.

Nice, Mark. Thats the only way I've gotten sid pics too but I'm the worst photographer, always unfocused & usually something in the way. Been trying to get 1 of my tiny sid but he blends in too well on the dark substrate. That is a well proportioned fish, how big is he? My biggest is only ~1 SL , al...

Thanks Graeme & Jim, I've been keeping a spare powerhead just in case I do get overcome by river-fever, still have sids in the Q tank though. No car + no tank= no fish shopping

Wow , they're beautiful! Can botia-types live with them long term? (I haven't had enough coffee for yas..whatever yet) Not that I'll find them here, I've only seen any lizard types a few times.

Hmm... cubic inches of fish huh? Does that mean all 10 of my inch or less sids count as 1 cubic inch of fish  ? Kind of like angels, or loach noses, on the head of a pin? 8) I might like this new fishy math. Maybe your daughter would like the garra & white clouds in her tank? I'd go wi...

Mine are the opposite, tiger barbs wait for the clowns to go first. It seems like they need help getting the romaine & zucchini started before they can get some loose.

Fantastic! Great to see Marge in action. I had my husband watch so he'd understand the big tank need. He was impressed with Stripes & then ...Oh my goodness! Thanks, Emma.

Mark. I have also read of the need to leave the lights out as apparently levamisole is light sensitive. I didn't catch that the first time I used it. I noticed my fish had depressed appetites for a few days, I did a 3 day treatment.

Mike, I'm not sure of the store name, very small pets supply-type place with not many tanks. Between Fall River & Providence (I-195 ) on rte 6 in a shopping center with a Building 19. The guy was quite into plants. Sids were $12, 3/30, not very many of them. FYI, I was at Lovely Pets in Quincy not l...
