Mr. Slim is behaving like a spoiled Chihuahua:

Now a teensy has gotten into the mix:

Re: VITAMINS?

So during a feeding this afternoon, the two oldest clowns were definitely going at it. I bought the teensies to join the “pod”. They are not yet. Do I need add another if I can find a larger one to throw off the hierarchy? One of the teensies is especially timid. I haven’t seen it for a whole day no...

VITAMINS?

So I thought about this and wondered if anyone regularly supported their fish with a vitamin supplement. That’s the only thing I can think of for why possibly my clowns aren’t in rich color, especially the smaller of the two (not counting the little teensies). I’m looking at a product called Vita Ch...

Re: Happiness is:

I think the Kusuri was helpful. Things looked up after that. Thank you. I just pray it continues. It’s like being back to the 55 EXCEPT for the vibrant color. The teensies look nice and black. Mr. Slim does a bit better in the rich black category for some of the time. The smaller clown is always lig...

Any pics?

You can make a free account in postimages.org. That website was recommended to me and it works well.

Happiness is: Now Video too

Happiness is: two types of loaches, living together, having good times. Happiness is: your biggest clown loach, resting upside down, looking so chill in the smallest confines. Happiness is: two little teensies making their own way. Happiness is: a repeat on the next day. https://i.postimg.cc/JyHdF8r...

Re: Video—please comment

Hi Loachnoob. Thank you for a nice compliment. We work hard to keep our tanks in the best shape we can, and we have lots of pride in them. I’m happy to say that things are back to normal. No more yo-yo teasing clowns. The silver dollars are getting bopped into again as they always had, and of the tw...

Re: Video—please comment

But the bright red is so outstanding. She’s a pretty female I have with a golden orange color. I got lucky with having a more colorful female.

I don’t have anything for the upper level swimmers though and I don’t want to overcrowd. But the top is dull.

Re: Video—please comment

My last diehard female has been living on her lonesome for a good year. She stays to herself unti it’s feedng time. She is much bigger than the teensies. I would’ve had a few more like barbs if I felt she truly needed mates but she has always been docile. I used to have eight which I’d gotten in 201...

Re: Video—please comment

Yes Nancy and Loach. I understand the reasoning behind feeding when lights are out. I was simply saying that is not something I’ve done. Sooooooo, the teensies were both out this morning. Here is a video where I was able to record them both. They are definitely getting greedy for food. What a good s...

Re: Video—please comment

Thanks, Nancy.

I don’t feed when lights are out but I’ve been feeding first thing in the morning the last few days. They are probably still foraging.

And that’s TWO little ones. I felt for sure one of the little ones was a goner.

Re: Video—please comment

Nancy, yeah, I see what you mean. Like the yoyos think the tank is theirs and the others are privileged to be there. And Loach, yes, last night things looked normal like the old way. The only issue I had was Teensy clown was nowhere to be found. Sheesh!! I’ve been feeding more than usual too and so,...

Re: Video—please comment

This tank with the exact same inhabitants from the several year established 55 wasn’t an issue before I switched over. Maybe it still isn’t. Mr Slim is showing a bit slimmer top of body so I think Kusuri was a good move. The video quality sucks. I had to record through YouTube app and was unable to ...

Re: Video—please comment

The tattered front little dorsal fins affects the smaller clown only and only the front fins. I can say with 100% confidence, water quality is not an issue. I have two yoyos. They pester with each other and they sometimes dive and nip the silver dollars (4). I have the lighting so subdued I can’t st...
