Help me Design My Mayan Temple Loach Tank Concept
My mom makes these really cool pottery tank ornaments and they look really good in her tank. I use autocad in my profession so I actually designed a whole tank setup looking like Ancient Mayan ruins about 6 months ago. Now I believe I am going to change the design a little for more space and center ...

Re: Stray Voltage: Grounding Rod or GFCI Experience?
Well I removed the electrical equipment about a day and a half ago. But i still feel a sting in the water on my finger. The sting is only when i have a hang nail. It is a mild sting that goes away after about a second. This is not the case if there is no hang nail, I feel no sting. I am trying to ob...

Re: Stray Voltage: Grounding Rod or GFCI Experience?
Ok I will test everything. It is either the two jetheads or the heater element built into the canister intake. These are aquaclear jet heads 70's and the heater attachment attaches directly to the intake on the rena fillstar. Im going to clean the tank and unplug the jetheads for now and see if this...

I wish I could buy all 8 of them. Each one was about 4" long as well. Wow! SaD. If you live in florida and are interested pri...

Stray Voltage: Grounding Rod or GFCI Experience?
So for the last 6 months or so I have had this striata that has been clamping its fins. No other fish in this tank have had symptoms. I thought it was a parasitic infection on the skin. I treated several treatments over the course of 6 months that did not help the fish. However, when placed in a qt ...

Re: loach pyramid
its still a hit. the bottom middle hole actually has a few clowns piled on top of some striatas but they are burried. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g154/dantecornish/IMG_9836.jpg if you look closely, the very small middle hole where the 3" pvc pipes meet, there is a striata sleeping in there. i ...

Re: EMERGENCY HELP!
I do appreciate the help. However, low and behold I checked the fish yesterday and now I have multiple striatas violently scraping on the sides of the tank ornament. I am in week 3 of DeLos treatment. Its not working so far. i don't know what the next step is. Anyone have any ideas?' Cool, at first ...

Re: EMERGENCY HELP!

the striata is still clamping his fins. its been day 7 of tmp sulfa treatment. im going to filter out this treatment after 10 days. i don't see any signs of improvement. wondering if this might be some kind of external parasite. i witnessed the striata scraping on the sides a little today.

Re: EMERGENCY HELP!
well i guess no one has any input. anyway, ive been treating with tmp sulfa for four days now. The clamped fin striata has not clamped fins or scraped for the last 4 days since i found him like that. I wonder if the lowered feeding days while i was out of town had anything to do with it. i have been...

Re: EMERGENCY HELP!
come to think of it, if the upside down cat did have something internal and the other loaches ate him, maybe they are starting to show signs of whatever it is.
