I think you are right, looks like a Beaufortia kweichowensis.
Once again, an instance of the name chaos in some shops.
Just one example:

Looks like a healthy female.
I also have a G. ctenocephalus of months had these dark spots "birthmarks".
Even more pronounced, by the time they disappeared completely.

The rock back wall is not self made, you can buy it from the company Back to Nature.
It is not very cheap but the hillstream loaches love it!

Sewellia lineolata is a good choice. Very easy to breed and not very demanding. Sewellia sp. Spotted is also not difficult to breed but he tends to be shy.
