You need to read up on worming http://forums.loaches.com/viewtopic.php?t=16733 . You also need to treat your other fish with anti-whitespot. Personally in the UK I use protozin, take care as the label often assumes you're running an undergravel. If not, you should use half the doesm, read the label ...

There was an article years ago where someone claimed to have bred them. He reckoned he'd lef the tank for ages without a water change. His filters were working ok but the nitrates and salt levels were raised. He reckoned that he had simulated the dry spell and once he changed the water (reduced salt...

Sand in the filter (not reqd)
What approaches do [eople here take to avoid the filter pulling in sand? I've a fluval fx5 and it's pulling in sand although the strainer is as high as I can get it (about 5" above the sand).
Anyone have any suggestions?

If they're new to you I'd white spot treat them and deworm them as a matter of course. You may find that improves their appetite. Also, mine took two weeks just to be at ease with their surroundings in an almost entirely clown tank so you may need to just give it a while longer. I assume they've got...

I'm planning a new tank and starting to think about lighting. I reckon led is the way to go but find the aquabeam range a bit confusing, not sure which to go for, the tiles or the strips and there seems to be a big difference in price. Does anyone have experience of this, my tank will be 2' deep.

You need more loaches. I had the same problem when I lost mine to skinny before I knew what the treatment was. I had only three left and the dominant clown used to beat up the other two. I know have some other clowns a similar size to him/her and this behaviour has gone for a far more social demeano...

Bought a nanostream 6025, certainly moves the water about more. Probably about right for my tank. small for the next one I expect.
