I don't think so, they are not out that often so it's hard to say. We intend to continue with another bacterial med. cycle, so we'll se if they return to their regular colors.

Keep working to lower the temperature, too. A degree or so per day is good, until you get the temperature more into the proper range for the fish you want to keep. Increasing the water movement to improve oxygenation will really help these guys, too. We're at around 26.5 now, so the temps are dropp...

What have happened to my hillstream?

We have problems with our hillstreams, as you can see in the pic. We've just set up a 450L tank, and somehow the temperature was 30*C, so we've tried to lower the temperature by changing some of the water with cold water, and we've managed to lower the temp to 27*C. We've also set our heater as low ...

I'd say Kubotai. They're really beautiful fish with their own personalities :D They are very good for snail-control too, much better than our clowns.

They are almost always available in Sweden, depending on the shop of course. The shops that I've found Sewellia in ususally have them every time we visit.

Ours do to some extent. Not enough to keep the algae away, but a little bit. Our P. Joselimaianus takes care of that for us ;)

Hello everyone, I went to my aquarist yesterday and after a longish conversation ended up leaving with 12 Trigonostigma espeis. According to the storekeeper they do not need dark still waters like T. heteromorphas but are happy in a light tank and prefer strong current. And that has indeed seemed t...

Sometimes the snails will come in on plants. A few is all it takes to start a population. Next time you go to the pet store, look on the plants to see if you can see some; the store might just give them to you. If you have any friends nearby who have aquariums, or if you are in an aquarium society,...

Haha okay! I'm thinking about growing some algae as well, might try it soon. By the way, Easy Life Profito gives us green spots on the glass. Maybe a slight overdose of that will do the trick?

I prefer bow-front. Sure, it distorts to some extent, but I think it looks classier.
