ok, craigslist sounds like a U.S thing, but I get the idea, buy used to save some cash.
Chefkeith I can't seem to find. Can anyone post a link?
Ihavdn't considered a tunze before, I'm only just introducing a powerhead which they like but I imagine tunze would be good for the larger tank

Big tanks
I see several big tank owners on the forum. Can anyone advise how you went about sizing, designing and sourcing the tank? Are there specialists out there that do this? Are weir overflows a good idea with clowns? Anything else to consider?

Shy loach?
I bought two new clowns. One died. this was followed by another death of a resident clown (one was a new fish that retrospectively obviously has some sort of underlying condition, one was one of my older fish that had been through skinny disease but never put the weight back on). Now I have only two...

Well the shop used three tests. One said I had 250ppm (stick test) but the two liquid tests said 20ppm or less. So it turns out I have no particular water quality problem. Which is a relief. I bought one opf the test kits that works and I'll proceed from there. I've just installed sand as a substrat...

thanks for the reply. the test is out of date but I've always had a nitrate problem and its up at 250 all right. and that after a recent (admittedly small) water change. I'm going for bigger one now. Tap water is up around 20ppm from what I can see. I'm getting it tested tomorrow tap and tank. I can...

A New fish, a dead fish
Distraught. I bought two new clownloach to add to my three in the tank. I lost two to skinny disease before finding somethgin that would kill the worms. One died after one night and a day in the tank. The other is fine, happy as larry. When I saw the larger fish in the tank in the shop I actually sa...

Buying clowns
I've got only three clowns now after losing two and they're not as happy as they were with the distraction of two others. I'd like to get two more but can't seem to find any of a similar size. Mine are 3-4" long but most on sale are very small indeed. Does anyone know of a good place to source clown...
