Someday, I will count my loaches  Anyways, I have one Histrionica loach, I have never seen them in the local fish stores. I know it is a bit of a drive for you, but Scarborough (and even further, Whitby) Big Als have had Histies for the last few weeks. I think Mississauga had them on sale las...

Re: neon tetras acting wierd anyone know why ????
Neon Tetras are a shoaling fish, not a schooling fish. 5-6 is about the minimum for Neons I think. I am currently down to 5 myself (from 12). Sometimes when they mate, the male will chase the female away. It could just be that your one neon is a jerk.

I'm fairly sure that Ropefish will eat Kuhlis. Try Googling something like Ropefish and Kuhli loaches. I'm not entirely sure, but I think my Yoyo's ate my pangio alternans

Re: What is this Golden Loach Skin Blisters Swelling
I've got 2 golden loaches and one has become very swollen and looks like he has blisters or skin bubbles on his body. I took a picture but don't see a way to post it. His body looks normal 'till about half inch behind his head then the whole thing looks swollen and there are large bubbles in the sk...

Re: Subdued Lighting for a non-planted tank...how?
If you have a hang-on filter, duckweed can get underneath the incoming water and get pushed down into the intake pipe or block the prefilter sponge. That's something to watch out for with duckweed.

Re: Which kind of loach?!?
You might want to put them in quarantine first. I think those are a species that often comes with parasites. As for tank mates, I don't think you can go wrong with dwarf chain loaches.

Re: How many L for 10 botia macracanthus??
I think 400L is good to start. I remember reading somewhere that a 120G (450ish L) is what they end up needing eventually. 4'x2'x2'
