Re: Neat Veggie Feeder
It's called a "Screwcumber" and appears to only be available from the UK. It's this corkscrew shaped piece of marine grade stainless steel that you "screw" the veggies onto. I ordered and have used these stainless steel weights for a few years. They work great and are easy to find in the tank when ...

Well, last night we had a lot of rain and lots of wind, so today only one tree has any leaves left, and it is in the back corner of my yard. It is a dark red maple, but has recently changed to orange and is dropping a ton of leaves for me to rake up  http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c258/zenin...

Another method I have tried is putting sinking pellets in a 5cm ( 2 inch ) diameter pipe and then placing it on the substrate. The other fish usually will not go in the pipe, but the loaches love it :D You might have to experiment with other diameters, depending on the size of the other fish and you...

I already spread the food around the tank, but the rainbowfish fight for it and most of the food is eaten by them before it hits the ground. I have try to fool them so that the sinking pellets will actually reach the bottom, otherwise they'll hold it in their mouths and spit it out only to grab it ...

Hi there tropical cat, I have kept severums for many years and have seen this behaviour before. The larger one is just reasserting its dominance. This behaviour may continue for another week, but should subside. If it does not subside, then add some more plants or wood or rocks in the tank to give s...

Hi Connie, Try frequent partial water changes to improve water quality, maybe 20% every couple of days ? Try adding some aquarium salt (not table salt that has iodine and anti-caking additives) maybe a couple of 5 ml teaspoons with each partial water change. I have known some fish to not eat for a m...

In my area of Southern Ontario, many leaves dropped this past week. I will be raking up the first batch on Sunday. This afternoon I was trying to find some trees with red leaves, tough to do, most of the leaves still on the trees are yellow, but I managed to find a red one in a park: http://i29.phot...
