The biggest of this spotty in my tank only have 4 cm TL, the others around 3 cm, some have blackish color and the other (dark) brown(ish) color with cream spots and blotches, hmm... perhaps the new paper have answer about the questions.

Very nice pic Graeme!! Its not an easy job to take pictures of this hyper-active species. Can you tell me what is the size of fish inside pics? I can see the dorsal fin have "full" coloration, mine only have coloration on rays of dorsal fin, but I suspect if the color will spread as the fish growth ...

I'm thinking that the Q-tank may well become home. I would of course seriously love to try and breed these guys.....ka-ching! Martin, I think (guess), the first and the third (stripey) is the same species. From my experience with Gastromyzon sp . SK01, the stripe can be mottled (interupted line) to another individu. Agree with Martin, Nonn (and friends) always have high quality pics of fishes and their habitat.

Enclose another pic of Gastromyzon sp. SW01, have nice iridescent blue color in middle of caudal fin.

I'm not really sure about the pH value for Clown in wild but I think 5 is good enough for blackwater species. If I don't wrong remember Bagrus dude ever showed picture of clown habitat in old forum. :wink:
