Re: Gastromyzon ID
stellatus and zebrinus are closely related and you can often find individuals that seem to be intermediate of these two. You may be able to tell more as it matures and the pattern changes. How large is this fish? A little over 1 inch. I just got it today and letting it settle in the quarantine tank.

Re: Gastromyzon ID
Hmm, it might be. Kind of looks like g. stellatus too from looking at photos.

Gastromyzon ID
Need an ID on the gastromyzon in the middle (same fish next to the sewellia in the second photo). Not sure which gast. it is as it was mixed with some ctenocephalus. Sorry, best photos I can get right now. Thanks. http://i586.photobucket.com/albums/ss306/shuwae/DSC_0445-1.jpg http://i586.photobucket...

Stiphodons and powerheads
So I bought some stiphodon percnopterygionus a few days ago and have them in a quarantine tank. In my main tank where I plan to put them, I have two Koralia powerheads. I'm kind of worried the perc. will get killed when they go near the koralias as they look small and slim. I had adult shrimps that ...

Re: Add more sewellias to decrease aggression?
Thanks. I plan to redo the tank on Friday when I add the new filter as I am also cleaning some rocks to add to the tank. I hope it helps stop or at least decrease the aggression.

Re: Add more sewellias to decrease aggression?
I believe I have 1 female and 2 males. It's just the aggressive sewellia that is chasing the other two. The other male doesn't chase the female. The alpha gastromyzon chases the aggressive sewellia even though the sewellia is bigger than the gastromyzon which I find weird as I read that the sewellia...

Re: Add more sewellias to decrease aggression?
Half the tank is filled with rocks. I'll see if I can add more rocks as I don't want food or other stuff, getting stuck between the rocks. I also have driftwood in the tank, where the sewellias hang out most of the time. The sewellia hasn't been aggressive these past days so I hope it's because it w...

Add more sewellias to decrease aggression?
I have 3 sewellias with 5 gastromyzons. The big sewellia is picking on the other two smaller sewellia, constantly. Should I add more sewellias to decrease aggression or am I just asking for more trouble? I don't really want to add anymore as this is a 23 gallon tank. The aggressive sewellia doesn't ...

Re: Age/size sewellia lineolata breed?
I doubt they wouldn't breed for a good while but you should watch out nontheless because you never know do you  . Also do you have a proper tank setup for them to breed? No, I don't plan to breed them so they're in a tank with gastromyzons and a few shrimps. I have a filter and two powerheads...

Age/size sewellia lineolata breed?
I'm curious to know when sewellias start breeding; at what size or age. I have a group that are quite young but would like to know when to look for the fry so that I don't vacuum them when doing my water changes. I don't plan to make the loaches breed but I do feel bad if I know there are going to b...

Which stiphodon?
I'm looking to buy some stiphodon but can't make up my mind from these three stiphodons: - percnopterygionus - atropurpureus - semoni I would like to get the percnopterygionus but have heard they are a little harder to feed. I would hate to get them and they end up starving. Tank mates will be sewel...

Thank you. Nice to know that they are ctenocephalus as they were what I wanted in the first place.

Gastromyzon ctenocephalus or scitulus?
Hello. First post here :D A few days ago, I bought 6 gastromyzon. They were sold as just regular gastromyzon. No other name. I'm curious to see if they are either G. ctenocephalus or G. scitulus. Took some photos when I was acclimating before putting them in their quarantine tank. From what I've see...
