Re: Gyre XF-130 / 150

As you say we mostly have sorted filtration. This would be to replace my powerheads which were tunze and expensive in the 1st place. I used to have two which they enjoyed. With one its half the fun.

Gyre XF-130 / 150

Hello,
I was wondering whether anyone had tried on of these with Clown loaches? I'm down to one functioning powerhead on my 6x2x2 and considering it but they're £225

Re: Throw away your canister filters !

As feedback goes my filters were new when I posted about fx5s. Some years on. No complaints.

Re: Camallanus Worms

You can get levamisole in the UK from agricultural suppliers. You will need to get a prescription form your vet and be prepared to dig deep it's expensive but you will get enough to last a lifetime. I got levacide at 7.5% levamisole I need 21.5ml to treat a 150 uk gallon tank. You will have enough t...

I wouldn't bang on the glass though. They're 'coming out' because you're scaring them or because they hear you coming and associate that with food arriving

DO you have sufficient space to allow you to get 5 or more? They keep each other interested then

Re: Worming - Flubendazole

Thought I'd just drop in an update. The instructions on the JBL wormer say to use carbon to remove the wormer. I hadn't bothered and then tank water went all green (chemical not algal) despite several water changes. I finally used carbon and all is back to normal with clear water again

Re: Worming - Flubendazole

"Isn't this whole subject supposed to be in the sickness forum?" Well I thought long and hard about that B4 posting here. I reckoned that the actual question posed related to proprietary products and not fish sickness per-se so I posted here instead. It's a thin line but I reckoned the thread might ...

Re: Worming - Flubendazole

Well I ordered some JBL nebol on recommendation/suggestion from maidenhead aquatics. I'm about to dose the tank but I needed two bottles (the outside of the bottle says treats 400litres and mines closer to 700l. But, when you read the instructions you need to re-dose 9 days later to kill those that ...

Worming - Flubendazole

Does anyone know which worms Flubendazole fails to treat? I've tried my normal wormer (Kusuri wormer plus) twice now with no effect and need to try another product but I'm running out of time to fix the problem
