I agree with you Emma. These guys have not grown all that much in length but have filled out in body depth. The questionable loach has increased in length but not all that much which makes me believe that he won't be all that much bigger. I don't see too much of a color change either in the rosy loa...

No luck with the photo as he's hard to get anyway but I'll keep trying.

He does have 4 barbels. Two short in front and two longer behind those.

Mystery loach

I think I've finally discovered that my little guy that came in with the Rosy Loaches is a small Checkerboard Sand Loach. He's still a slightly different color than the others, heavily marked, somewhat longer and slimmer. He reacts with the Rosy Loaches but yet remains apart from them. He swims diff...

That one swam up thru the out tube of the filter against the current.

I also had a big problem with them getting into my external AquaClear filters until I put up plastic canvas in all the areas by intake and out take areas.

Yes, I lost one of my black kuhlis to an internal filter. It was when I first put the filter into the tank about 5 months ago.

I run a fan page web site for a friend of mine in the music business. I can't even begin to count the number of times I've found people using photos from the site to sell things. One of the more surprising ones happened while I was listening to one of the music channels provided by my cable company....

I bought a group of 6 clowns. One died immediately, 4 were in excellent shape, and one showed signs of skinny. The fish never gained an ounce and lost most of it's color with it's skin turning to an almost translucent quality and the bones were very much in evidence. He was nothing but skin and bone...

I used to see it in other fish, but since I am now only working with loaches and plecos it's only loaches.

I have three large yo yo's in with 7 black kuhlis and trust me, the kuhlis quickly find a way to get the food. They've all been together well over a year now without any problems.

Both females tend to sleep in weird positions. The one sleeping upside down is the one who forces the male pleco out of his cave so she can wedge herself into it. Mind you we're dealing with a cave that's 2 inches x 2 inches. She lays on her side in there and all you can see is her tail. When she's ...

I use tablets and usually put in 2 algae and 1 regular for the three loaches, three plecos and the smaller BN and black loaches. They don't last very long.

Another fact... although you could see the color differences, they are just now beginning to show signs of becoming red. I think mine came in younger than Emmas.

If anything, I underfeed them. All the food is gone within a couple of minutes. The male with them is perfectly fine with no weight problems. These two females are constantly on the go and chasing each other which probably contributes to everything by getting them excited. Mine are about 2 years old...
