If you are worried about the loaches getting too large, try a group of Striata Loaches.
They grow a bit larger than 3 inches and do a good job on snails.

Yea, I had to have lots of shots before I went to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama earlier this year ... much safer that way. Around here in Southern Ontario Canada, we have to watch out for West Nile Virus, Lyme disease and other causes of Encephalitis ... no shots to take in advance for...
