It is good to come across another BGK keeper here. I would really like to see some pics of such a large BGK. It is harder to add fish to a tank with an established BGK. Due to poor eye sight it interprets any new additions to the tank to be food. I do not believe BGK are aggressive at all, just blin...

Hi, I recently got something similar. I thought mine were Histrionica. Any chance mine could be Botia udomritthiruji? Would the collection point have Botia udomritthiruji, Botia Histrionica and Botia Kubotai co-habbitating? I know they are really hard to distinguish when they are young. I have...

Hi, I recently bought some young clowns. One of them is missing an eye. At first I thought it was a "bowie loach" (Two different coulor eyes). Closer inspection shows one eye didnt form properly. So its more like a pirate loach. Eye will try to get pictures soon. I hope it survives QT, it will look ...

Thanks for showing that Mick. Brilliant Botia! That sort of behaviour is to be expected if you make your Botia watch Rocky with you. My fish fight from time to time but I really dont see what they are doing. 1. Do the spines come out? 2. How do they inflict damage. 3. Is this fighting or court...

Thats a nice looking tank Kieth! The water looks crystal clear and the fish seam to be loving it.

The Rostrata look spectacular doing the "Circular Swimming". My Kubs do that from time to time and it can last quite a while. With repeated, determined attempts.

Its nice to see Botia having fun.

Any specis from the Botia genus will eat snails.

What are you keeping? Make sure the loaches are compatible.

Interesting Events MD. I cant understand how it came on so pronounced so quickly let alone getting rid of it so quickly! What was the fish behaviour like? Was there typical White Spot symptoms ie Flashing, swimming with clamped fins, etc? Maybe your protozin is super potent. As long as its ok now.
