hi hx, wow ,great info you have provided. The aquarium store I use has had them , so I will have to be sure to see if they are the smaller species. I have summers off and this seems like a good project , and they are so darn cute... . I will do more reading on them, make sure I can give them everyth...

hey, hx, wonder what the temp has to be kept at for these awesome guys ? How difficult are they to keep ? How do you ensure they don't escape with no cover ? do they need brakish/slightly salt water ? what is the average life span ? what else can you keep with them ? can you use real wood ? sorry ab...

ok,I was paranoid about my water,using the fix twins and epsom salts,but tested after the 7 day treatment and readings good. A-0, NI -0 ,NA -10 ,little high, but wc will bring it down. This is my 20g q-tank , with 2 resident platy living in it ,to keep it always cycled , pending new fish. Thanks agi...

hi again, ok the site is Planet catfish, click on ''catalog'', then click on ''L#'s" . They list a gazillion types of plecs and their food and water needs ,and their sizes. please note -not all listed are available, but enjoy the eye candy :wink: gotta love 'um !

Hi Trop, Just to let ya know, if you get a plec, you will need to feed it, ie:alage tabs, fresh veggies etc. They can't survive on alage in your tank alone. I keep 3 plecs and 2 never clean the glass. And you should also take into consideration that plecs grow to various sizes. Commons can grow to 2...

question- will epsom salt kill the filter media, causing a cycle or mini-cycle ? I am using epsom salt in my q-tank at the moment . Thanks , Georgie

anyone use python products FYI

just to let anyone using this product, I was told the company is folding up. I tried to order new replacement part and this is what I was told. I had to order an aqueon faucet hookup replacement for my python hose , was told it will fit...hope so..
