I have never seen them eat snails, however I do keep them with botia, so there are no snails to begin with :)

Some of my friends has bowfronted tanks and they hate them.

The distortion is no problem from afar, but wreaks havoc if you try to make close-up picters of your fish.
(and can make your head go weird if you stick your nose right up on the glass :D)

You could try fasting them for a few days.
After there good 'an hungry they should go berserk about a single tablet of food.

That usually brings out my 42 assorted pangio's :D

They usually show sex-differences at around 6cm.
Then the males will develop bristles on their noses.
(females will grow very small bristles as well, but now way as large as males)

So you'll just have to wait a bit for him/her to grow.
Don't worry it won't take very long :D

3!

You know it is just unfair to show them all those wonderfull fishes you can keep in a hillstream tank.

You're right they should get a hillie tank, but unfair none the less :P

Okay, I did find my holy grail of Loaches. However I'm down to just 2 moosefaces now. The largest dicided it was time to explore the wonderful world outside the water. I found him behind the tank last night, must have wriggled himself through the hole where the wires run. I went and bought a larger ...

Might be a good idea.
I have some slowly desolving tablets wich blanket the bottom with particles if left alone.

I'll try that tonight.

(ie: not pale, and nice and diggin') -They are now in a small Q-tank in a dark closet. (they are only disturbed wh...

Assasin snails will get the job done.
However it might take them very long to kill/devour most snails, they will get there.

Sounds like a great project! Just a thought: You could build a maze out of plexiglass and (aquarium-grade) silicone-sealant, making sure the fish are able to turn in the paths. By putting a removeble top on it you could 'save' a fish when it might get stuck or panic. By putting gravel/sand on the bo...
