Re: Buying loaches online? Any good sites?
I have had a good experience with That Fish Place and they have a good selection of hillstream loaches currently. I am actually on the look out for botias... darios or rostratas - heck, I'd think about kubotai if they were cheap. But I just haven't been able to find much online.

Have any good new sites popped up since this discussion started? Invertz Factory is closed and Frank's isn't stocking a lot in the way of loaches lately. No one I've found is carrying a large selection online, at the moment.

Thanks Menu. I am hoping to get some spotted sewellias to go with my lineolatas, that's why I asked.

Lovely! Great photos! I have not seen these yet in the US. Is there any concern for crossbreeding sewellias? Can you keep similar species together?

Re: Panda garras
Anybody had any luck with breeding? So far I've only been able to lay hands on 1 of these little guys, but I am tempted to order a few more.

Re: Clown loach diet advice
A cheap and easy live food source is ramshorn snails. I've got them going in another tank and feed them to my loach tank.

Re: How many clowns for a Clown Loach only 120g aquarium?
I do 40-50% every 3 to 4 days. Wow, that's a lot of water! Have you worked up to that amount of turnover, finding it necessary to maintain water quality, or is it more a philosophy/personal preference? 'Just curious, as my own habits are quite different (30% every 10 days or so ). My approac...

Re: When will 5 clown loaches outgrow a 90 gallon?
I had a group of 4 in a 4 ft river tank for several months and their growth rate seemed unchanged and they looked healthy. The largest 2 are 5 inches and I just moved them to a 6 ft. I see them more now - they are more active. I agree that 6' of run is important, but I'm less gung-ho about rehoming ...

You're welcome. The coconut shell makes total sense now, but I just couldn't place it...

No, no turtles in there. The round thing in the back right corner? A coconut shell.

Hx - this is such a cool build! Is that a turtle on the far right in the full tank pic?
