I have had a good experience with That Fish Place and they have a good selection of hillstream loaches currently. I am actually on the look out for botias... darios or rostratas - heck, I'd think about kubotai if they were cheap. But I just haven't been able to find much online.

Have any good new sites popped up since this discussion started? Invertz Factory is closed and Frank's isn't stocking a lot in the way of loaches lately. No one I've found is carrying a large selection online, at the moment.

Thanks Menu. I am hoping to get some spotted sewellias to go with my lineolatas, that's why I asked.

Lovely! Great photos! I have not seen these yet in the US. Is there any concern for crossbreeding sewellias? Can you keep similar species together?

Anybody had any luck with breeding? So far I've only been able to lay hands on 1 of these little guys, but I am tempted to order a few more.

A cheap and easy live food source is ramshorn snails. I've got them going in another tank and feed them to my loach tank.

I had a group of 4 in a 4 ft river tank for several months and their growth rate seemed unchanged and they looked healthy. The largest 2 are 5 inches and I just moved them to a 6 ft. I see them more now - they are more active. I agree that 6' of run is important, but I'm less gung-ho about rehoming ...
