I hope everything turns out OK, Icewall. You've been though a lot with your fish, and I'm sure you're ready for a break. Hope you post photos of the 90 when it's done. :)

A Pretty Pangio

Just when I told myself that I wasn't going to buy another fish, I saw this beauty in a tank of healthy pangios. After quarantine, he's now in with the rest of the pangios and settling in nicely. The stones that he's nestled in are the river pebbles that I put down the whole front of the tank. I'm h...

Hi, Here is thread where I asked exactly the same question: http://forums.loaches.com/viewtopic.php?t=8621&highlight=kuhlis :D I should add that I've kept more than twenty kuhlis in my thirty gallon with no problems, but the tank is heavily filtered. Also, here is a link to the loach species index: ...

Congrats!!!!! :D I've had some very gravid striped pangios in my tank for quite a long time, but no spawning activity that I know of. I hope you can get some pics of the little ones. Thanks for the great photos so far!

That's really strange that he won't even stop to eat. How's he doing now?

I've made the time to watch the tank through three feedings now, and the dario doesn't seem to notice the kuhlis. He's too busy keeping after the kubs. The kuhlis don't seem to be intimidated by his presense and come out to eat right along side him. He keeps himself quite busy chasing the kubs away ...

Thanks Diana, I'll do that. :) I hope this works out, since I'd like to keep the dario (or rehome him with another loach keeper.)

Hi newshound, He's about 2.25", and I've had him for about two months or so. I moved all the fish together today, since today was the only day I had to get the job done. So far, everything is peaceful. The kubs and the dario are doing their usual thing--chasing each other around. The kuhlis are loun...

Thanks for your advice, newshound. :) I kept my pangios with my kubs for a few months last winter, and I never noticed any aggression from the kubs towards the kuhlis. The kubs seemed to be only interested in each other, and the kuhlis were often out in groups lounging in the plants and rock piles. ...

B. dario and pangios in one tank??

Hi everyone, Well, I was unsuccessful in rehoming my 5 Botia kubotai and one B. dario . I'm not too disappointed since I really like the little guys. So, I've purchased a used 75 gallon, and I'm planning to combine some of my tanks into one. This should help me to reduce the amount of time I spend d...

Hello, All of my pangios have been at least 2" when I purchased them, if I remember correcty. I have both the striped pangios and P. oblonga. Although I like my striped pangios for their interesting patterns, I must say that the oblonga are the most entertaining. They are out and about most of the d...
