I don't know if I'm good or not. I'm really just looking for an entry level IT job. I still have much to learn and really need some experience before I can say that I'm any good and know what I'm doing. I'd probably pack a better lunch than anyone else though. :D Haha, it'll be a trade. You can sho...

Good to hear everything made it through! I've been looking to hire a good IT person for months now. Unfortunately (at least in this case) the Boston market has held up and finding someone has been tough. We have a moving incentive, but I don't think it would cover the expense of packing up your tank...

No, I can no longer make out that spot, and it has been at least 10 days or so since I last saw it. I did catch a rosy barb flashing 2 days ago and I had to fight the urge to throw my shoe at the tank. I'm carefully monitoring it and hoping it was something else that irritated him, like the T...

Dither and loach tankmates for clowns
Hi all, I'm thinking ahead a step or two to when I will be restocking a tank that recently lost its dither (and 1 clown) to an ich outbreak (we think). The tank has since stabilized and I am - of course - looking forward to restocking it (with heavy quarantining this time). The question now is, with...

A 24 hour-48 hour pH test ought to show if the water from the tap will change. It is definitely not changing after 24 or 48 hours. But it definitely does change in that tank. My thinking was that it takes longer for it to come down than the 2 days I tested... or that some combination of something i...

Just an update. Both tanks seem to have stabilized. Even my lone serp tetra, who was caked in white spots, seems to have recovered. Remaining clowns are ok, if a bit skittish. They dont seem as apt to come out and play like they did when skinny was leading the way... but they "look" fine and are eat...

Just updating. In the hospital tank I lost all of the rasboras and cards - and 3 out of 4 serp tetras. The last one seems to be stabilizing. The main tank, knock on wood, seems as normal as it has been in awhile. I am 3 and a half days into salt treatment on both tanks. I am done adding the salt to ...

I recently experienced something similar with a loach of mine. Unfortunately it occurred during a mess of an ich outbreak and so I didn't have time to look into it or treat it on its own. I described it almost like a raised bubble with a white spot in the center. Looked kinda like a pimple to me. Pa...

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on them. The plants I have are mostly low light, hardy species. Java and Anubias types. There are not too many and I am not too invested in them so I will let it play out. Skinny died this morning. Poor dude. I am not sure he was long for this world to begin with... a year a...

Thanks for all the info on the salt. The remaining fish seem fine (except for skinny), best they have looked in awhile. But there is still some flashing and since it is possible I knocked the ich down, but not out, I am not taking any chances. I started a slow drip tonight. Re: the salt, do I have t...
