Hi saphphx,

I may be wrong but would bet they will try to eat the eggs. Eggs are one of the most apreciated snacks for most fishes. Some species protect their eggs like the angelfish but not Corys.

Czech Republic is well known to be a place were they are having sucessiful experience on loaches reproduction using hormonal injections. Maybe they were able to hybridise diferent species (?)
In fact, this markings are uncomon.

Nice pics Emma. Thanks for sharing! 8)

Hi Mad, ...this has been recommended by the experts in fairly recent discussions of a more virulent strain of whitespot. I recently had (3 months ago) an ich isue here in my Clown tank. By the same time lots of Brazilian Forum friends complainned same: a more virulet strain of whitespot ! On...

Hi LO, I read your post on bloated loaches. I´m really sorry... The Chilodonella (Chilodonella cypprini) is an external parasite that eats fish tissue and leave the body as soon as fish dies to infect next one but, as I do know, this parasite only attacks weakened fishes. Healthy ones are not infect...

Hi LoachOrgy, You spoke of "an incident" on your tank. What was it? This behavior of your Clown loach is not rare. Maybe she´s missing her friends, maybe she is showing everybody she´s now new alpha. Before using the medicine ask yourself: is it worth it? Is there a real disease there? Tell us more ...

Hi Ded1, Your parameters are not that bad. As you might know optimal pH range for Clown loaches is something between 6,5 to 7,0 and general hardness bellow 12 but they can live well in a range other than that (preferable bellow than above those values). You also know that stable parameters are even ...
