questions for splendida owners.....how peaceful are they compared to other modesta type botiids? Ie morleti, caudipunctata, modesta, lecontei, etc. What are they feeding on? take flakes? my caudis take flakes no problems. I have this set up: 3 Y. caudipunctata, 6 B. udomritthiruji, 1. Y. eos, 6 B. s...

Hi all, So I had a good look at my tank today and observed one ridiculously gravid Y. caudipunctata. I mean, this fish is just laden with eggs as far as I can tell. I never had Botiid fish spawn in my aquarium before...I know they are egg scatterers, but what are the chances some fry would survive.....

I wonder if Y. splendida is found in the same locales as Y. caudipunctata....it appears to me that Y. splendida is also found in Laos if I am not mistaken...are they also found in Thailand? Where were these Y. splendida collected from?

My favorite loach of all time has to be Yasuhikotakia caudipunctata, hands down. Beautiful fish, and even more beautiful behavior.

10 is absolutely phenomenal, phenomenal! Did he say if its a described species or color morph, etc? 14 looks like a botiid I had seen years ago at Uncle Ned's in MA.
