How do you think a single ( one ( 1 ) ) Skunk loach will behave in a tank? Will it be a scardy cat and not bother anyone? Or will it try to be King of the tank and take every one on? I'm afraid to move my 4 Skunks into another tank. They're enough trouble in the one they're in. However if I were to ...

Noise- most overflows are known to gurgle loudly. They can be designed to run quiet. Oversize the return piping. Run the overflow compartment water level almost to the same level as the tank. Use a Durso or Stockman standpipe. Use a spraybar for the return. I'm running 5-600 GPH on a 60G tank and t...

50% decrease in price of Kubotai at PetSmart! to US$9.95
PetSmart has had a label up for Angelucis for quite some time. And the tank even occasionally had one or two itty bitty guys in it. However at US$19.95 I wasn't two interested and I imagine a lot of other people weren't either. Well I guess they weren't selling well enough. The price has been reduce...

Try Marine Depot and Champion Lighting as well as others. Avoid Rio and Mag Drive pumps. I currently use a Gen-X which, after breaking-in, is fairly quiet and it has an external fan for self-cooling. I know to avoid Rio . . . but whats wrong with Danner? ( all my pumps are Danner Mag Drive) p.s. I'...

Re: Is $9.99 a good price?
Is $9.99 US a good price for Botia Kubotai? LFS has about 20 at that price and I want to check here if that is a good bad or great price. I don't know about around you are, but around here in Sacramento Ca that would be a good price. The only place around here that seems to have a selection of loac...

. . . snip . .. No Kris!! Once you have opened the bag, and immediately so, the water in it ain’t no good any more. This is what to do (IMO only): * take the bagged fish home and do not open it at all * float the bag for about twenty minutes * take the bagged fish out of the tank * put a net over a...

O) wouldn't work for me because all of my tanks are viewable front and back. O) use two smaller pumps rather than one single pump. redundancy/no single point of failure. That way you don't lose an entire tank of fish when a single pump fails while you're gone on vacation for a week. O) how big of a ...

> . . . snip . . . Any help you can give us would be great! The point we are trying to contradict is that "a Clown Loach will not grow larger than the 7" advertised by PetSmart". Drs Foster and Smith call out the Clown as a 12" fish. Sort of interesting contradiction. Both will cite "authoritative"...

$20 for kubotai aka angelicus at Petsmart?
$20 for 2" Angelicus!? Petsmarts have these small guys at what seems a high price to me. It must not be too high though, they're selling despite the price.
But whats a good price? . . . What are they going for in your area?

Why are you surprised they are 3 inches? Thats not even fully grown. How big do they grow and over what period of time? I have four skunks and they've grown from 1" to maybe 2" in a year. The Clowns and YoYos I've had in that time have grown MUCH quicker and larger then the skunks. I've just though...
