Re: Update on my loaches! With video

They are quite the argumentive bunch. I put plenty of wafers in tbe tank yet they insist in fighting over 1.
And there are 7 of them so I feel they have a good group number.

Re: Update on my loaches! With video

Oops. It was still private. Try it now.
And here’s another of my sidthimunkis.
They are still in the small holding tank for now but will go in the 40 g in about 2-3 weeks.

Update on my loaches! With video

I’m still holding my breath, but both the A. Sidthimunki ( I have 9 of them) and the Botia Dario (7 of them) are doing well. The Darios are wonderfully active and totally hold their own with the barbs at feeding time. Hopefully I’ve successfully attached a recent video. The only time I’ve heard that...

Re: My clown loach pond

Very cool!
Forgive me as I’ve just started posting here a few months ago, but this is an actual outside pond? It’s awesome looking and I’m jealous! Especially since it is currently 7 F.

Thank you for the update. I love seeing your clowns and hearing about them. Tiama is gorgeous; a credit to your wonderful care.
Happy New Year to you!

Re: *My* algae wafer!

Thank you redshark!
I was told they are a new variety of gold barb; they are more glittery. I wasn’t looking for them but fell in love with them.
They are very active and don’t take any s*+t off the Tiger barbs. :D

*My* algae wafer!

So I put this in a new thread. Just love the Botia Darios! I could watch my tank all day :D So I added the 6 new ones and my survivor to the 75g, 11 days ago. I’ve done the first treatment of levamisole and will repeat in about 2 weeks. Everyone in the 75 is doing fantastic; eating like champs. <br/...

Re: Levamisole

I will do that!

It’s also probably a good practice since I’m feeding more and there may be more waste than is optimal.

Happy Holidays to you also!

Re: Levamisole

That’s a crypt balansae in the photo. Also have amazon swords, crypt wendti, crypt willisi, and java moss in that tank. I do a 30% water change once a week and my nitrates stay under 20. I spent way too much time today watching these guys. They are active and out and about. I originally was waiting ...

Re: Levamisole

Thanks again! The levamisole that I purchased had the dosage. I gave the second half dose yesterday and will do water changes starting tomorrow. They are about 1 3/4 “ +/-. All are very active and eating well. I feed them twice a day and do a meal of frozen brine shrimp/bloodworms every other day. I...

So last night I got home from work (midnight as I work second shift) and turned on my room lights. They illuminate tje tank a bit and I was watching the Darios. I thought a couple of ...

Re: Levamisole

Thank you Nancy. I did purchase both levamisole and flubendazole. The flubendazole is coming from the UK so I haven’t gotten it yet. I may hold off on the Darios for now. They all look good and are eating; even giving the barbs a run for the money for the food. I did opt to put them in my establishe...

Re: Levamisole

Thanks Charles. That does make sense. Maybe I should hold off then. 3 of the 4 sids that I lost did get skinny and stop eating but as you explained it may have not been more stress than worms. The replacements I purchased were from the same group and are of great weight and activity. The same for th...

Levamisole

2 days ago I purchased 6 more Botia Darios to join my lone surviving one after my disastrous water issues. They are all doing well. However, I do want to worm all with the levamisole (including my sids as I have a couple that look thinner to me and Prazipro hasn’t seemed to help). The directions say...
