Congratulations. You must have a very happy, healthy tank. I would also supplement the baby's diet with live foods.
When did you get the adult weather loaches?

Re: AC Advice please
So true. Can't keep my tanks cool. I didn't keep fish when I lived in NH, so I never learned the talent of keeping them warm.

Re: Healthy clown loach but sick angels and out of ideas!
Thanks for the update and good to hear. Please post a video. That would be fantastic to see -- the large clown in the lead of the parade. Did you figure out what was wrong exactly and how did you fix it?

I have a tank of "feeder guppies", so you can imagine what kind of fish keeper I am. These guys live out their spoiled lives living with bamboo shrimp and panda garras.

Re: filtration for Kuhli loaches
I was going to recommend sponge filters. I have large ones that I drop a diffusor on the end of the airtube after it is threaded through the bullseye. Took me forever to think of sponge over my filter intakes. I was wondering if the angels would think of the kuhlies as worms (lunch), unless you have...

Re: AC Advice please
You are in NH? I lived in Manchester and worked in Concord. I loved living there (so beautiful and loved hiking), but the humidity was so low. :) I lost the darters before this episode. I don't think they can handle my summer tank temps. Really upset me, because one day they were there, the next the...

Re: My Black Ghost Knife
If I added a ghost to small loaches, I would add a ghost smaller than all the loaches, make sure everyone has enough homes, and have the ghose grow up with the loaches. And keep an eye on them all. Keep everyone well fed.

Re: AC Advice please
Thanks for all the advice. Luckily my AC emergency is over, and my fish friends are safe and survived the ordeal -- I think they all made it, still doing a body count (I did lose my entire population of hummingbird darters earlier due to high water temps :( THey are so enchanting it was heartbreakin...

Re: THANK YOU SO MUCH XX
Sometimes the best and cheapest fish are the ones mislabeled. I have even told them what they are selling and they gave me the super low price. I dig through all the tanks and look for contaminants, and some of the best tanks are feeder tanks. Even found kuhlies loaches, whisker shrimp and darters i...

Re: breeding loaches in atank please help
For the most part loaches do not breed in captivity. As far as I know Yoyos don't breed in captivity without hormonal injections. If you are referring to African cichlids, they do not make good companions for most loaches. A few south American cichlids will work okay. If you want to keep African cic...

I would set up a quarantine for him, find some friends for him, and then prepare setting up a tank for him and his buddies. This explains why I have 11 tanks, and I will have two more very soon.

Re: Near Disaster!! (An interesting Day today)
That is so good to hear. I found an eel that had lived in a filter about 3 weeks. Luckily he was no worse for wear.
