Don't worry about red gills.When I first got mine the gills were red too.Theyve gotten a little bigger though and now their orangish.

If you think he might be sick, move him to a quarantine.That way,if he is sick, it will have little chance to spread, and you'll probably be able to observe him better in a smaller tank.

The loaches you mentioned should do fine, but if you want less fish but some larger ones, yoyos would be excellent.The cories and pleco should be fine, but they will limit your loach selection to only smaller loaches.Rather than buying dithers, buy lots and lots of hiding spots.This makes the fish f...

weather loaches are actually not tropical.They prefer cooler water(goldfish temp) .You might be able to,but a yoyo loach(grows to 8")would work just as well.They're alot like clowns,and the really cool part is that their pattern looks like someone stamped "yoyo" on their sides!!!!

Yesx I know they will,but they would outgrow the 26 gallon tank they were in alot faster.Also,arent loaches slow-growing?I'm not cramming them in the same ank.I may add 1 more species of loach to that,I've got another 55 gallon for a dojo loach and 2 goldfish(I don't want a heated tank)
