The last time I saw some largish ones in LA it was at Pasadena Tropical Fish (in Pasadena, a suburb of LA). They were about 8" if I remember. I don't live very near, and haven't been fish scouting there for several months, but they have had them several times in the past when I have visited. Check t...

Mine seem to do fine with most plants. The only exception has been any attempt to put in foreground plants, which they seem to take great joy in ripping up :) It can also be hard with "floaty" stem plants, which they often accidentally uproot (such as bacopa). Among the plants I have are Vallisneria...

I bought some of the Gel-Tek anti parasite meds a while back. Supposedly fish will eat it, but mine wouldn't. I ended up soaking bloodworms in the gel overnight. I tried it with some of my endlers, as they usually eat anything, but they wouldn't eat the gel droplets. The fish I was treating ended up...

I use a shot glass to thaw the cubes in, then a mini turkey baster to distribute the worms among the tanks. I like the baster as it means I can target feed, if I need to. The mini baster is easier to control, so I can easily feed only two or three bloodworms into a tank, if I want to. I only thaw th...

I keep clowns and cherry shrimp in a heavily planted tank, with my largest clowns at about 4" or 5". The cherries breed fast enough that there are always quite a few in the tank, but there are lots of plants for the shrimp to hide in. I have a couple of powerheads, and the shrimp don't seem to mind....

New Pangio anguillaris
I just got four new P. anguillaris yesterday. The LFS has had them for a while, and I have really wanted them. So far, they're doing great, and being really "eely." I have them in a tank with cherry shrimp. Does anyone know if they'll eat the babies (that's not a problem, I have cherry shrimp breedi...
