i have only had them for like a 4 hrs lol but no this is my first night with them....is there any reason they might not be eating properly bc my old loaches went crazy for blood worms... maybe they need a few days to not eat before realizing they need to eat..but even so that cant be healthy..so ill...

Trouble eating

well i tried to get my clown loaches to eat..but they didnt even show any interest...i soaked blood worms in garlic guard and selcon but all i saw was one loach with one in its mouth but i tried to spot feed them but no interest...any help?

ok i got 4 clown loaches today 2 seem about 1 3/4 of an inch and then the other 2 are 2 inches i think i can deal with that.... im going to try to get more soon as soon as im sure the bio filtration is up to par :) they are now being acclimated slowly :)......ok now they are in 3 are hiding under a ...

well im set on gettin my fish from petsmart and yeah lol im going to try the cherry barbs if its not enough a nice school of rummy nose will be fine but i heard rummy noses are very delicate

Im probably going to add cherry barbs as dither fish :) they seem so pretty bc of them being so red :) and the loaches have red fins :) and im still at a loss with the sand

thanks so much for the information :) yes i experienced my other loaches to be kinda skinny but i got them nice and plump with blood worms and baby brine shrimp :)....o also im thinkin about covering the top portion of my substrate with pool filter sand..is that a good idea? if so what do i need to ...

Good news! they totally devoured the bloodworms and ate the garlic but the bad news is that they would not come out of they caves so i removed the caves and put them back. I dont know if i should have not done that but it seemed to get them to eat...any other suggestions that i should know about bef...

Alright ill give the store a call but im pretty sure they fed them flakes lol. but today i only see one out and the rest are hiding. the QT does have ok movement but my main tank to put them in is made for them but until i have actually gotten them to eat i wont put them in.Im going to try the mince...

Well there are some coconut caves and some plants for shelter but i guess stress is the most logical answer. Minced garlic huh? does this usually apply with most fish? Ill try it out. What about fish granules? How do i get them to eat those? Because bloodworms are just a suppliment right?

I recently purchased three 2 1/2-3in clown loaches. I have put them in a 10 gal quarentine tank. Its been about two days and i tried to feed them some frozen bloodworms and they wouldnt eat. other fish kept with these fish are rainbow fish and a chinese algae eater but thats all the gold fish are like 7inches maybe....well these three are still some pretty bad fin nippers they even nipped my angel fishes...and i have heard they get along well with angel fish

well they are lionheads but yes there are many hiding spots and such....i feed them 2-3 times a day
