well i added 3 clown loaches to my 55gal tank with some goldfish....the water and everything is fine and the loaches are thriving buuutt....my goldfish on the other hand are being eaten alive by the loaches...ive seen them nip at the goldfishes heads until they are bald and u can see much of their h...

i bought some blood worms and boy o boy was it a site they were playing keep away with the cube it was great!

thanks guys..ill try to get some omega 1 veggie bites ......other than that the substrate isnt gravel its more like medium sized rocks bout the size of your thumb maybe they are that big but arent that small either..

well ive already moved the loaches and boy are they happy..swimming around without a care in the world i dunno what kind of goldfish they are but they seem to be fine in 78f degree water.....so all in all mission success! :wink: but another problem has arised....how can i get food down to them...i f...

kinda dont hav ea choice on the goldfish mom has had them for years and wont part with them so i dunno...either i clean the tank alot or think of another alternative

ok im thinkin of moving them to a 55gal tank for now.the substrate is about light brown and some white medium sizes rocks....im worried that its not the loach liking due to the size and they wont really be able to dig around but my mom wont let me get any other kind of substrate..so i hope it will b...

oh i didnt know that i thought a powerful air pump would be sufficiant but ill try that also thanks tinman

i have great news ever since i have added the coconut caves one or two of the loaches have because charcol dark and hopefully it will notify the other loach its ok to be dark as well looks like they are gettin happier!

well i have one size of pellets and I have given some to them once when i first got them...they started to nibble but never really went after them..so i gave them algae wafers they ate it up at first then after a little while they didnt want it anymore..so yeah lol and i have tried to tell her that ...

i have added coconut caves but they do not seem to want anything to do with them :? and i hope that the permanent stress is not the case it would be a tragic thing they are such pretty fishes! but the bigger tank is not ready for me to put these loaches..(mom is being stubborn)...and about the sinki...

thank you guys...it has a light colored substrate so that might be one reason and ill try to add some hiding places....they are only 2 1/2inches right now so a 55 gall should work till the time comes they need a bigger tank..i heard it takes them a yr or two to reach full size so i got time to save ...

hi, Im new to the clown loach owning...so far i have really enjoy keeping these little guys.. i bought 3 about a month ago and they seemed happy right now they are in a 10gal tank but will be moved to a 55gal tank in a couple months...but i was wondering my loaches are very pale..they eat hardily......
