Thanks BM. I might have jumped the gun on the fins and the "strings". I'm obsessing and that was what I was looking for due to my last disaster and that is what I thought I saw. I'm home now and I really can't see it now. The loaches all came out to eat and play in the power head stream so I got a g...

Hmmmm, well I'm starting to get nervous. I am still not seeing an Ich outbreak. I see one or two spots on the same loach that I have seen for at least a week now. It looks like a grain of salt on his side. A tiny little round raised white spot. I'm not seeing any "Ich" signs on any other fish. Howev...

Thanks for the continued help. Since last posting I have not seen any additional spots. In fact I've seen some progress. As best as I can tell, I now have 1 loach with 2 visible salt speck-like spots. These two spots have been around since about the beginning of treatment. How long typically do thes...

The only other thing I could imagine it being is the Prime. Anyway, I got a new bottle of meds yesterday and upped the dose to 90% (I was doing 75% or so). All of the fish appear perfectly fine when it goes in, and afterward. I've noticed no change in activity or feeding in any of the fish... and th...

The filters are eheim ecco's... I double checked this morning that the carbon was out. I'm using the standard eheim ecco substrate in them. I don't know exactly what it is called, but it is the stuff that comes with the filter. This medicine is blue in appearance, and my wife always calls me color b...

My confusion was with the sticky which suggests waiting a few days in between treatments. But I guess that was for a different type of medicine? At any rate, I'm on day 6 of treatment... I missed one day as I was away, so that is 5 doses and 5 25% changes in 6 days. I have not seen much in the way o...

Yeah, sorry... I should have provided more initial info. I am dosing this particular tank with Rid Ich. This is a tank I have been obsessing over since witnessing flashing several weeks back. I have just now started to see white spots - I am not even 100% sure they are ich, but given the flashing th...

Ich dose question (the follow up doses)

First dose is for the entire water in the tank.

Are the follow up dosings also for the entire water in the tank? Or do you only dose the water that you changed?

I am not nearly as experienced as some of the others on the boards. But here is a recap of my struggle with unexplained flashing. I've had flashing off and on in my new 75g tank since I set it up. Which is pushing 4 or 5 months now. (the filters and fish are a lot more mature, the tank is just new) ...

Video: Clown behavior - group kiss? or group flash?

Picked up on the clowns doing something I haven't seen them do before. Hoping those of you with more experience could shed some light. It seems somewhat similar to the dance we all know and love... but not really. All 5 loaches seem to gather for it, but there are two main particpants - the largest ...

It would be interesting to have a series of dated photos documenting his growth to see what progress he makes into a more normal (or not) bodytype. Thanks for all the advice. I think you are right, it will be interesting to doc his progress (or lack of)... it will also help me make decisions about ...

I have to admit I didn't notice the size of his eyes till you pointed it out. But my wife was nodding her head saying she has noticed it too. So hard for me to tell what state he is really in. He is active as hell, and eats and plays and fights as much, if not more, than the others. He doesn't look ...

Skinny Clown Update (Video and Photo)

Hi all, This is a bit of an update on a previous thread I started on this guy (or gal). I've had him for over a year now, and for the majority of that time he has been skinny. Hasn't really ever showed any signs of illness. Is quite active, eats well (as you will see in the video), and even gets int...
