Re: looking for info on barbatula barbatula

Ah, I remember catching these in the local stream as a boy. I haven't seen one for years!!! I do remember the stream being very shallow, probably only six inches deep & quite fast moving. The bigger one's were often found alone under large rocks, only the smaller one's would group together. Have you...

Re: Interesting Clown Loach markings

Thanks for the link Emilymarie, I don't remember that being there when I first read that page!! Clownloachsharky, I did get them altogether but from someone who had bought them all individually from stores. Redshark1, that is interesting. I had thought it could be a result of the captive breeding pr...

Interesting Clown Loach markings

I managed to get some pictures of my small clowns earlier whilst cleaning my tank, they have unusual markings. Has anyone else got clowns with strange markings? I would love to see pic's? I have never seen a large clown with strange markings, is this just me? Please excuse the dirty glass and water....

Yasuhikotakia modesta fight

My two biggest modesta have been at the front of my tank fighting for the past two hours. I hardly ever see them, so this has been a rare treat. They are both around 6" and very fat, I think the slightly smaller one decided it was time to take over and she seemed to be getting the better of her bigg...

It's a darkish brown sand, I bought it from my local Maidenhead Aquatics a few years back. Sorry I can't remember the name of the brand.

Re: My new tank

Huge tank. It's propably just the snap, seems to be there a lot of light. You must be crazy to the clown loaches with this amount, I have got just 4. You also need to rebuild the tank, missing caves, shellters.[/quote] Hi, It isn't that bright in there, the clowns are all very happy & ...
