I've been thinking about this off and on for a while now. I began keeping a saltwater reef tank about 4 years ago and came across something in a reef critter that may be similar to what causes the famous Botia click. Especially since the click my Botias make actually causes the algae wafer to move. ...

Could he be injuring himself on something sharp? And since it's always in the same place perhaps the sharp spot is where he sleeps? Just a thought.

My vote is for pool filter sand hands down. You can't beat the price, the fish love it and best of all you don't have to rinse it before putting it in your tank. BTW...switch out your substrate gradually so you don't decimate your bio filter and cause an ammonia spike.

I've never see anything quite like this. Your kuhli is definitely a female and I wouldn't rule out something related to egg production. How long have you had her and how long since the last time you saw her and she looked normal? How many other kuhlis do you have and do any of them show signs of tro...

I bought 25 Kuhlis 2 weeks ago and only 4 are left. A month before that I bought 18 and only 8 survived. Increasingly over the past decade the survival rate of Kuhlis has dropped dramatically.
