Thank you to all who tried to come up with suggestions. I was told by the faucet guy that trying to attach a hookup like you suggested, Keith, would begin to take the finish of my bathroom faucet but also because the small hole of the attachment that the water would have to travel to could back up i...

Hi, I do have a bathroom faucet nearby but the faucet dealer said that the water pressure from a bathroom faucet won't be as powerful as a kitchen faucet so fill time will be very slow. There's more to it too, but too much else to get into. We went through lots of different scenarios. I'm going to a...

Kind of late to mention that now, don't you think Ardillakilla? Geez.

I went to my vet about 10 years ago looking for levamisole and for getting some fish health info. They couldn't even help me. You think every vet will cater to performing fish surgery??

People think we're crazy when we get attached to fish. People ask me what I get out of fish keeping. I say I appreciate the fact that they live for me.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know how sad you feel.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your horrible incident. I actually always worry about my tank leaking or worse, the stand giving way. It's been up and running for about 7 years, knock on wood.

What a nightmare, and such a mess. Sorry for your fish loss too.

KITCHEN REMODEL WILL BE A CURSE!

If anyone has been in my shoes, then you already know that there is no new faucet on the market that's going to accommodate the Python cleaner. So I'm screwed--I can't use the Python to fill the tank anymore since the company has no intentions of making any new parts (their response to my email toda...

DILEMMA...PYTHON CLEANER

Hi everybody. I'm going to call the Python company tomorrow but I'm so nervous about this, thought I'd throw this out here. We're redoing the kitchen and bought a new faucet--the kind that has a pull down spray directly from the neck of the faucet. It's like the spray and stream all in one piece but...

I think lights are on too long; but is it because you're trying to simulate breeding conditions? I believe in siphoning the gravel, I do that every time I change water. I used to do 50% changes every week but it's easy for me because my tap has no added chlorine so it's one less step I take. Also ri...

That Safe and Easy cleaner sounds great.

Today I have the Magi Float, medium sized for my 55 gallon. It's plenty big and cleaning is a breeze. I'm happy with it. Thank you all again for your input. It was helpful.

And doing a 1/3 water change will be just as effective in my opinion then another 1/3 a few days later. I'm sure I'm doing no damage. Salt has been used since the beginning of time yet I do understand the damage that could be done with massive changes occurring at one time. I don't think I need to g...

Hello. Good news. The pecs are beginning to grow back. I've been changing the water frequently. The silver dollars are out more in the open. It's one clown who seems to do the most damage because it's always picking at the silver dollars. But so far this idea has been successful. I think changing up...

Yes, I realized the spelling was wrong when I looked it up on google. Then when I retyped it in here again with the spelling fixed, I found it. Well fortunately I see no fish issues with the added salt which was less than the prescribed amount. But you know that heavy salt baths are a form of treatm...

Hmmm, I will look up that term you mention. On a positive note, I don't dump in the salt all at once; I put it in gradually over a period of a half hour to an hour. I don't technically need the salt, but felt it would aid in the healing process. Thanks for alerting me about that condition and as I s...
