As usual I'm jealous.. only because I'm fully stocked and SWMBO won't let me set up any more tanks at the moment.. I think you should start showing more videos that way we'll become more jealous.

I have a large Clown Loach who doesn't have a bottom fork on the caudal fin, it also has a slight twist in its body which leads me to think it was a deformed when born and raised. As it is now touching 5"+ I won't be culling it.

You should have no problems at all. My "Horde" of over 20 Clowns range from 1.5" to 6" and they all interact together.

Both my B.striata and my Y.morletti are all very egg bound at the moment, really gravid. No males though... I wish you lots of luck Mike in spawning them and raising any fry. If it were me I'd set up a tank with gravel and sand substrates a fair amount of rock and wooden decor and a generous he...

Remove them by hand. Bait them overnight - remove in morning. Gravel vac more, feed less food to the fish. Starve the excess snails and you can easily keep the population under control. Don't buy a fish (especially gregarious and social fish that need swimming room etc etc) to do a job that you your...

Whilst there is a slim chance I am incorrect, it is more than likely I am not but these fish are rarely traded and there may well be restrictions on their import into Australia. As said I may be wrong but may be worth contacting your Import/Export department to see if they are allowed in.

Interesting... I've seen Corydoras, Synodontis and various Loaches with really worn down and infected barbels usually due to poor substrate conditions - not substrate choice but actual state of the substrate but can't recall ever coming across split barbels.. I'll have to pay more attention in class...

Multi-barbels

Was trying to take some close ups of some of the smaller fish in the tank when I noticed the barbels on one of my larger Clowns [the one on the left] weren't the usual shape. There are 4 distinct splits on him. I have never noticed these before despite having him for a while now so I managed to snap...
