Re: What is wrong?
Thank you for replys. Pics were only taken a few minutes apart from each other. *Edit: No one else is showing any signs of lesions/marks at all - this is the only fish with the mark. I know that 10ppm nitrate is high, especially for clowns --- I did purchase a bigger tank for them and am in the proc...

Might give this place a go:

I have heard good things about them, they do special orders - and if you check out there bottom dweller gallery http://www.aquaticimportshawaii.com/gal ... ew/15.html -- looks like they have imported some pretty large clowns.

Re: Emergency TDS sky high!
What is the ideal TDS range for a loach tank? I have a friend with a TDS meter, and am going to check mine this weekend - but need to know what level I want to be at. Recently, my clowns started hiding a lot - been testing ammonia (0), nitrite (0) and nitrate - admittingly my nitrate was a little hi...

Re: Keeping fish in a translucent tank.
I had the filter media in with them - and I floated all my live plants as foliage. I stuck the heaters to the bottoms of the tanks.

Re: Keeping fish in a translucent tank.
When I moved from Washington to Idaho, I moved my fish in translucent tubs. Some of them stayed in the tubs over night -- didn't have any problems at all. Actually, I was surprised how well it worked - I thought for sure the clown loaches would be all stressed out but they weren't, they didn't even ...

Re: SHEDDING
When a clown loach does slough off some slime coat, is there anything you should do/add to its tank to help it recover/prevent sickness?

Re: Corydoras Pygmaeus & external filter
If you are at all concerned about it I would highly recommend these intake sponges. I put one on my panda tank and it saved my fry from being sucked up by the filter. I can't recommend them strongly enough. Filter-Max Pre-Filter : http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcati...

Re: Looking for a home for my clown loach
I am in Boise, Idaho, USA - I would be happy to take in your clown, but I bet shipping would be expensive.
You might try posting an add at Monster Fish Keepers. A lot of those members are in California and keep clowns in HUGE tanks.

Re: ID Please
Yea I tried that I wasn't able to find anything that looked like an exact match, or that even had the little black spot. It sure looks like a loach, but maybe its not? Thanks for your help.
