Picked up 4 clown loaches tonight, all 5"-6" -- the guy was moving and wasn't taking them with. He also had 2 other loach type fish that he asked me to take, I have no clue what they are, can anyone ID these please? http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll272/EmV85/75%20Gallon/IMG_0831.jpg http://i290....

Re: Roe?
Roe are eggs inside a female fish (to my understanding) -- Although breeding clown loaches is uncharted territory, if the fish is displaying signs of being ill, I doubt that is the cause... Pic? There was someone who recently lost a clown to similar conditions that I think you are describing - I wil...

Re: Chromobotia macracanthus / Clown loach Questions
I have a question -- So, Clown Loaches pick up these parasites in their natural environment in the wild -- people catch them, export them, and with all that stress skinny shows. Now, it is my understanding that some clowns will survive skinny and some will not based on how well their body fights off...

Re: Levamisole made clown Loach give off tons of slime
Wondering how this went for you?
I am treating my clowns with their second dose of levamisole -- I treated the tank last night, when I get home today I will do the wc - then treat again in another week. They all looked good this morning, was wondering how yours were?

Re: Levamisole made clown Loach give off tons of slime
I treated clowns with the powder form of levamisole -- and didn't have any negative results at all. Clowns were 2.5"-7" -- I only left the levamisole in for 24 hours

That being said, when you say "can't right himself" -- swim bladder issue comes to mind.

Re: SHEDDING
Hrm. This thread has really been bothering me -- I have never seen, or even heard of a healthy clown loach "shedding" (although I have only been keeping clowns for 6ish years, so still relatively new). But, this thread did make me immediately think of this image: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/fwsubwebi...
