Re: regulating Ph

Thanks for the information. I am trying to find a balance between my tap water and the purified r/o water. My concern has been the drop in ph that seems to occur in short time span, which I have read is not good and I suspect is a product of the low alkalinity/kh of the purified water, which is the ...

regulating Ph

Does anyone have experience with Seachem's neutral regulator? Would it be a safe way to keep my ph stable?
My tap is at ph 8 and very hard and alkaline. Had been using purifed water, which is at 6.8...but very soft and low alkalinity. I noticed that my ph will quickly go down.

Re: help with Ich

the kit is only a few months old...a test tube kit (where you put drops in), donn't recall brand. There is variance between that and testing strips. Today it was 6.8-7.2, based on 3 tests (test tube, another ph test tube for pool use, and strip). What do you think about "neutral regulator" by seachu...

Re: help with Ich

This should be the final day of ich treatment. Main concern is with getting the Ph more stable. Did a partial water change saturday...ph was about 6.8. checked today and it was at 6! Did another partial water change, just 15%, using conditioned tap water, and it was 7.2! I am worried I have killed o...

Re: help with Ich

Thanks for the support. Over the weekend, I thought there were more white spots...but still only seen on clown loaches...but today, there seemed to be much less, so I am hoping the Ich Attack is taking effect. I think the ich came with the angelicus botia that subsequently died, which I put in the t...

Re: help with Ich

I did a 25% water change...left plenty of room at top for oxygen. The "Ich attack" is apparently "herbal"versus a typical medicine, but it says it can take up to 5 weeks...I plan to give it a few days to see it it is having a sufficient effect...I am seeing just very few white spots. I am concerned ...

Re: help with Ich

I have not been able to get good pic, but I have gone with the assumption they have ich and have started "Ich attack"...I saw a positive reference to it somewhere and I really want to avoid the chemicals that themselves can kill. I believe I may have coused the ich with my most recent water change.....

Re: golden dojo-temperature

I raised the temp to 80F and I began treatment with Kordon's "Ich Attack"...which is "100% natural"...contains naphthoquinone. I saw only a few white dots, only on the clowns. Hope this will work. Ever heard of it? I did a 25% water change to begin with...the directions state water changes are not n...

Re: help with Ich

Hi...I am just a few hours away from you by car, which is anice coinicidence since I am new to loaches as well as this site and to posting messages. The ecobio-stone "contains beneficial bacteria" and so yes I believed it would help keep the water more clear. I definitely am new to fish...a neighbor...

Re: help with Ich

Hi...I am from South Florida (town called Lantana), USA. So I should go with the meds...and start water changes...is there a way to know for certain it is Ich, or based on what I said, you think I should assume it is? The tank is 2 months old. The water readings have been stable/good for past few we...

help with Ich

I am worried that I possibly have a problem with Ich in my aquarium. First, let me mention I am new to having an aquarium and have done many things wrong. I have a 44 gal. with: 2 clowns, 2 yo-yos, 2 golden dojos, 1 angelicus botia, 1 rainbow shark, 1 algae eater, and 1 hathchetfish. Until this am, ...
