Re: My new 1000 liters clown loaches tank (page 22)

What is the big Crypt-like plant in the last few photos? It´s indeed Cryptocoryne undulata . This plant last 5 years in this tank! In the begining was only 6 or 7 leafs as you can see on this picture taken in 2006. Plant is in the left front corner: http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd303/Mataratz...

Re: My new 1000 liters clown loaches tank (page 22)

I have tryied. To get whole tank you will not see any fishes. Actually, I have to be out of my apartment (outside door opened), like this: http://i817.photobucket.com/albums/zz94/Mataratzis2/Novo%20aquario/Aquario01.jpg http://i817.photobucket.com/albums/zz94/Mataratzis2/Novo%20aquario/Aquario02.jpg...

Re: My new 1000 liters clown loaches tank (page 22)

Thanks chefkeith! All fishes transfered. 31 Clown loaches, out of 30 are there. Yes... there was 31 Clown loaches in former tank. I was sure there were only 30. After emptying 450 liter tank I decided to take a picture of it empty: http://i817.photobucket.com/albums/zz94/Mataratzis2/Novo%20aquario/4...

Re: are my dwarf chain loaches healthy?

Hello Miles,

I would check water parameters first, like temperature and pH. I also recomend live food like brine shrimps and white worms. Take a look here for the best parameters to use for your loaches:

Re: Can I keep Clown Loaches in my tank?

As stated by bookpage, you´ll have to think in the future. This tank is suitable for the juvenile fase of Clown Loaches, but in 3 or 4 years it will be small for a group of 5 or 6 individuals.

Re: My new 1000 liters clown loaches tank (page 22)

Wow, wow... too many questions UVvis! Quoting Jack the ripper, "let´s do it in parts": :D How is your sump plumbing set up? I don't see any overflows or returns in the tank unless they are hidden very well (behind the dark rear wall?), if that's the case, amazing job! What type of flow rate are you ...
